CLASS DESCRIPTION:

 If you’re gonna bump it, bump it WITH the trumpet! Join Jezebel Express for a deep dive into how dance musicality works (and how to get it!)

We will talk about (and practice) different ways of listening to music to hear specific sound quality, and work through the process of deciding how to match musical sound to movement.

We’ll also discuss “building” an act with structure so that the crescendo of the music matches the crescendo of your dance, and students will leave with a clear plan for how to apply their new knowledge about musicality to their existing and upcoming routines. If you are a student who feels like they can’t “hear” music like other dancers can, join us for this exploration of an entirely new way of listening!
