CLASS INFO
Class is held Thursday evenings, 7-8pm ET from NOV 2-DEC 14 2023. Class link is below (and large!)
After each class finishes, I will upload recordings of the live classes for those who can’t attend live. The class recordings will be up until February 1.
General Guidelines:
Wear whatever you want to class. Go as sexy or as comfy as your mood dictates but... just be ready to move. Heels, flat shoes, sneakers or bare feet are all fine.
The classroom opens up a few minutes before class starts so everyone can get situated :)
In the last half of the class (classes 4-6), we will use long sexy gloves (opera gloves) in class to practice striptease moments. They are optional and you can also use winter gloves. I have included suggestions for where to buy gloves below!

WHERE TO BUY OPERA GLOVES
During the second half of our class, we will practice removing long opera gloves. You can usually get a pair for around $15, and it is also completely fine to use any glove that has fingers (winter gloves etc.)
If you want to buy in person, Party City stores or any Halloween store will almost always have a variety of colors.
If you want to order online, here are some options (but please do pay attention to shipping dates- if you order from another country, they can take 3-4 weeks to arrive):

I am a 2X and generally wear "standard sized" gloves (from the first list), but some of my students find plus sized more comfortable or easier to remove, so please go with your body's preference!
SHOE INFO:
You can wear whatever shoe you want, and you don’t need to wear super tall ones - 2.5 inch up to 4 inch tall heels are pretty normal. If you plan to wear a heel onstage, I recommend practicing in it!

I wear the same shoe in 3.5 inch height to perform in but it’s not as comfortable for hours of teaching.

Jo Weldon’s book The Burlesque Handbook contains extremely useful information on everything from how to choose a name to how to twirl tassels. I highly recommend it as a companion to your journey into burlesque.
